Somewhere in all the weird, funny, clever, mad, talented and deranged people you get thrown together with by Chatroulette, there comes a long a woman. Here is a fantastic clip on a guy doing the skateboard surf at a California skate park. It’s a sunny California afternoon and this guy here is doing his tricks at the Cunningham San Jose skate park. And there you really see how skateboarding started out as surfer sport when the surf as flat. What might be new to you is that this already started in the 1940s, when surfers screwed some wheels onto boards or boxes until the first skateboards were ordered by a surf shop. The music from Metallica also fits perfectly into this skate.surf zen clip.

The most watched clip on Youtube is, after all these years, not some bikini-or-less-dressed girl, but a small bag of metal beans aka the Neo Cube uploaded four years ago with a staggering view count of 42mill plus. WHY? No special effects, no music, no faces, no dialogue. Just two hands unfolding, refolding, lengthening, stripping, pulling, joining, crumpling, basketing, pyramiding a mass of tiny magnetic metal balls. If you don’t get what I mean by all that, just watch it here. The beauty of it is the simplicity. It’s almost like an express mediation session of 90 seconds – though I did get anxious when they started tearing it up…
